Maintenance
Stone is a natural product that requires special maintenance consideration. However, simple care will keep your stone long lasting and looking like new if properly executed. Follow these steps to keep your natural stone looking as good as the day it was installed:
- Dust mop floors daily, and wet mop weekly with a neutral cleaner and water.
- Blot spills immediately and dry the area thoroughly after cleaning.
- Refrain from using any harsh cleaners that contain bleach or ammonia, or are acidic in nature (such as lemon juice and vinegar). These will dull and etch the stone.
- Do not use vacuum cleaners that are worn down, since the exposed metal could scratch the surface of the stone.
For more information on maintenance, see the NSI Care and Cleaning Guide.
